Ally Maree | | Anorexia is SELF STARVATION:
Easy to see signs:
*Skips meals
*Shy to eat infront of others
*Seperates food on plate (Food can not touch each other)
*Eats like a bird (Example:Corn takes 1 piece of corn at a time)
*EXSESIVE(OVER DOING) Exersizing
*Measuring Thighs with hands and fingers
*Measurung arms
*Always looking in the mirror naked
*Wearing much bigger clothes to hide the thinness
Not so easy to see signs:
*Isolation from family/ friends
*Not knowing if your child IS eating in school or not
*DENYLE!!!!!! My MOM is STILL In Denyle that I went through this.
*You MUST be 15% underweight. Example.. I should Be 130... I am not going to say what I am now, But I am still very underweight.
What I went through and still do:
I still can not eat infront of strangers, measure my arms, legs, thighs and waist.
I wore baggy clothes.. ate like a bird, Water was my best friend.

Bulimia
This is SELF INDUCED VOMITING
This is VERY hard to know because it is Binging (Eating High cals.. and then vomiting them up. The ONLY true way... when finished eating.. go straight to the bathroom, turn on Sink water that hides the sound of gagging and puke. Look at the hands... teeth marks leave a tattle tail sign. That is why I used a toothbrush.
I also learned WARM Sugar Water make you puke and Warm Apple Vinigar will make you puke as well.

These are 2 VERY Deadly Eating Disorders.
What causes them?
It is a Controll thing. IF you feel there is no controll in your life.. there IS 1 thing you can controll... WHAT GOES INTO YOUR STOMACH!
Depression I was very depressed when I was 12. i moved in with my biological father whom I had never known and was not allowed to talk to my mom.
Guys: I dated men who told me I was too fat at 100 Pounds. And I Starved myself to the point of passing out.
Peer Pressure: Teens it is hard growing up as a teen.. wanting that MODEL look and having ALL the guys staring at you. And girls can be HARSH on other girls.. either not pretty enough to talk to them, or they say stuff like WOW you are getting a bit chunkey.
It is a LIFE LONG DISEASE!!! It never goes away. I am in remission... but something can happen in my life and trigger it. Like I was in Remission back in 2003 until my Granddaddy passed Aug.15th 2003 and it depressed me and set me back to my Anorexic days.
I can no longer VOMIT. I damaged my internal system and now when I do I nearly choke to death.

Nita Lopez | | You talked about depression. Do the doctors prescibed anti- depressants? And has anyone sugessted any Natural nutrients to help counter the depression?

Ally Maree | | I battled alone...for years.. but yes I did see a Dr. after my daughter was born and they had me on Zoloft.
I have not been on Anti depressents for almost 5 years. I am a very happy person.
No one has suggested Natural Sups. But I DO Highly reconmend them more so then Drugs.
I have no problems answering any questions... I am here to help.
